How to Heal and Prevent Ingrown Hairs

The best way to safeguard ingrown hair is to shave your legs the right way.
The first thing you must do is prepare your skin with a gentle scrub and polish it onto the surface of your skin while it’s dry. Step into the shower and soak water onto the area you wish to shave for 5 minutes. The warm water will help soften the hair down and when it’s time to shave, use a shaver that has a sharp razor blade because one that is dull might cause your skin to damage and skin not smooth.

You must keep your razor blade/shaver away from humidity is so that you can use it much longer. Don’t forget any shaving cream or gel before you start to shave your legs to help the razor go on smoothly onto your skin and you must shave in the same direction of the hair growing out.

If you already have ingrown hair growing out you should care for your skin in that area only with products containing salicylic acid. The salicylic acid will help remove dead skin cells which can cover the hairs after shaving, but the salicylic acid must be applied after you are done shaving by a day or two.
